THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Veteran NFL security Eric Weddle introduced his retirement Thursday.

The 35-year-old Weddle performed 13 seasons and had one season remaining on a two-year, $10.5 million contract that he signed with the Los Angeles Rams final March.

Weddle acknowledged towards the top of the Rams’ 9-7 season that he was considering retirement.

“I’ve had an awesome run,” Weddle stated on the time. “No regrets, child.”

“He is performed so much, had an awesome profession,” Rams coach Sean McVay stated after the season. “I am very grateful and I’ve discovered so much from him.”
