A small aircraft belonging to Turkey’s police pressure has crashed right into a mountain in jap Turkey, killing seven officers on board, Turkey’s inside minister stated Thursday.

The aircraft was getting back from a surveillance and reconnaissance mission late Wednesday, when it crashed into the Artos mountains within the jap province of Van, close to the border with Iran, Suleyman Soylu informed reporters.

The minister stated the aircraft disappeared from the radar on its approach again to an airport following a surveillance mission over Van and the neighbouring province of Hakkari, which lies farther south and borders each Iran and Iraq.

The aircraft’s wreckage was discovered at round 3 a.m. (0000 GMT), he stated.

All on board, together with the 2 pilots, had been members of the nationwide police.

The reason for the of crash was beneath investigation, Soylu stated.
