Entrepreneurs who run small businesses are constantly on the move, whether they’re attending a conference or meeting or networking event or speaking engagement, on a job site, or working from home or the office.

Using mobile applications for small businesses may help you stay on top of things and increase productivity. Several free smartphone applications for small businesses can assist with anything from payroll to project management to payment processing to marketing to customer service.

Unless otherwise stated, all the business applications mentioned below are compatible with iOS and Android.

Scanner App

This free tool for small businesses allows you to submit papers and forms while you’re out and about. To save the document as a PDF or JPEG, it takes a picture of it and does so. Multiple images can be combined into a single document, even signed. You can use CamScanner instead of Scanner App if you’re an Android user.

Square

Small businesses can now accept payments using Square, an app developed by itself. From beauty salons to retail stores to food trucks, small companies will be able to use Square. In addition to being completely free, it comes with a free credit card reader. You can accept payments quickly by attaching this little reader to your phone or another device.

Wunderlist

It is best not to use sophisticated software for small businesses. A simple yet effective system is what Wunderlist is all about. To-do lists may be shared with your colleagues. Syncing is done automatically, so your staff can see which tasks have been completed and which ones remain. Using Wunderlist’s free edition is a no-brainer. You can assign tasks to your staff, create subtasks, set deadlines and reminders, and add notes using Wunderlist for Business, which costs $4.99 per user.

It is free to use, other than any SMS expenses from your service provider. It’s compatible with all types of phones, including non-smartphones.
